Ethyl Oleate vs Oil

EO = Ethyl Oleate. EO is a solvent, which dissolves the powder but its use is to thin the solution’s viscosity.It’s a thin and expensive oil, created from ethanol, and used as a rubber softener, solvent, and typically used by us as a base for steroid solutions.

It provides smooth and painless injections, and will suspend compounds at much higher concentrations than just oil. (It will make 100mg/ml Prop completely painless…) And because it’s a solvent, it allows you to use less Benzyl Benzoate in your blends, however BA is still used to maintain sterility.

GSO = Grape Seed Oil.GSO is called the ‘carrier’.A much superior oil for injections, as opposed to cottonseed oil, but also has a shorter shelf life. It should be stored in a dark place, at room temp.

CSO=Cottonseed oil.It is very thick, and has trouble flowing through a small gauge needle. It’s just a byproduct of the food industry, so it is cheap and readily available.

BA=Benzyl Alcohol.BA is the antiseptic which keeps the solution sterile.

BB=Benzyl Benzoate (BB) is the primary solvent, which keeps the product from crashing.

What makes GSO better than EO/CSO?
Grape seed oil is much thinner, has anesthetic qualities, repairs damaged tissue and is actually healthy for you.

GSO is cheaper, more readily available, THINNER, and above all, less allergenic than other oils. The stuff shoots great.

So when you use GSO; you can use a smaller needle, create less scar tissue and help repair the tissue that is damaged with the injection.

EO used for short esters
Ethyl Oleate is a carrier. It is great for short esters like Acetate, Propionate and Phenylpropionate forincreasing concentrations of these esters without crashing.

Many people feel that Ethyl Oleate creates painless injections while others don’t feel the same. I only would suggest Ethyl Oleate for short esters for reducing pain and increasing concentration.

You can use a 50/50 concentration of Ethyl Oleate and oil such as Cottonseed or Grapeseed to increase concentration of NPP to 200mg/ml without crashing.

Some people feel that isn’t all that it is cracked up to be as many long ester formula’s seem to crash. Also the other con is the cost of Ethyl Oleate.

For many the pain is reduced because Ethyl Oleate is thinner and has lower viscosity then say grapeseed or cottonseed oil.

Personally I don’t use Ethyl Oleate currently as I don’t see many benefits over cottonseed oil or grapeseed oil.

You could even consider a 50-50 mix of EO and GSO. EO makes the gear thinner and some suggest more painless. On the other hand, some guys don’t take well to EO and it causes them pain.

EO also does harm to the plastic/rubber end of the plunger of a syringe so you can’t hold your gear inthe syringe for any duration of storage.

If you notice, there is a trend…generally long esters hold easier at higher concentrations and require less solvent (EO/BB) than short esters.

Many ugl’s as well as popular recipes do not call for BB with test e, deca, or eq due to their low melting points. but there is no harm in including BB just to be safe and prevent crashing. as the concentration for short esters goes up, so does the EO and BB concentrations…but i dont like to push it with short esters.

It is not required to use EO, but it makes the product much smoother allowing less painful injections and flows smoothly through smaller needle gauges (25-27).

Using EO as the primary carrier can allow you to bring some short esters into solution at higher concentrations, but generally the injection pain is so bad it is counter intuitive.

mix powder and guaiacol first then add oil and BA.
The more solvent you use the stronger your injectable solution (mg/ml) can be and also the more water like (less viscous) the solution will be.

Manufacturers of oil solutions will often make oils thinner for ease of injecting and also use more solvents in things such as blends or high strenght mg/ml solutions oil.

Benzyl alcohol (BA) and benzyl benzoate (BB) are the most commonly used solvents, the BA is often used in 0.9-2% strengths (of total solution) which it’s primarily use is for sterilisation purposes, however it can be used to suspend more hormone in solution also.

BB has three main purposes to the manufacturer, one is to keep the solution when injected into the body slower to absorb up into the blood as BA which is more soluble if was the only solvent could be taken up quickly causing the hormone to come out of suspension.

Secondly it is used to suspend more hormone (mg/ml) as required in solution and lastly is to thin the oils. Ethyl oleate is a synthetic oil which is often used in combination with a carrier oil, BA and sometimes BB.
